One of the emtions that I felt while reading this book was sorrow. I felt bad
for all of the jews that had to go through something that was both physical and psychological that they would remember for the rest of their lives. Also it was sad to read about how so many people died and all the people that suffered. Elie's story baffles my mind because of the crualty of the Nazi's. The sadest part of the story was when Elie's father was dying and he could not do anything about it and the Nazi's took his dad when he was still breathing. |
When I was reading I became angry at the Natzi's for treating the Jews so badly.
The living conditions of the Jews were pitiful and discusting and they put anything in their food. The Nazi's made the jews march passed Jews that were hung and if you did not look at the bodies then you were beat. The beatings that the Jews received were brutal. |
The end of the book had a bitter sweet ending. The ending was bitter because Elie lost a lot of loved ones that he would never see again and he never got to see his childhood home ever again. The ending was sweet because he survied living in the internment camps.
